1. The Daemon of the Void

This is the Keeper – The daemon of the void
the void has always been here and he’s always been at its entrance to welcome us
most people just scream into the void
that’s all they know –

the void is scary
the void is uncaring
the void has no echo

But this is not what the keeper knows of the void
the keeper knows the void contains many things
and those many things are here to help us

all the keeper knows is to keep the void
that’s all he’s ever known
he has no predecessors, he has no descendants

the keeper and the void have always been here
the keeper is supposed to welcome all to the void
but most people just skip right past him
like he’s not even there

this makes the keeper sad.
not just for being unseen, but because he knows the void is essential to all things
because, for as much as the void is vacant — the void is also all things

he knows people fear the void, are scared of the void, thing the void is something to avoid
The keeper wants to do something about this
Something more than just sit at a table and watch people move past him; unaware of all the wonderful things he knows about the void
